Theatre Media Projects Group Association Video selection: Malgosia Szyszka, Theatre Media Project Group, Poland Video Projects: PROJECT1: SPLENDID, video art and performance, 50 minutes The show's action takes place in one of Warsaw's clubs, where an overview of the first sound-enabled polish movies is held. This provokes the rounded-up people to dance, sing the hits, which used to be popular in the times of their grandfathers and grandmothers. The songs are interwoven with wide-screen dialogues, the figures from old movies talk to each other about fundamental issues; they talk about life, love, politics. How do these conversations relate to the present situation? Are we dealing with contemporary issues in a retro outfit? Performance combines video art with drama, dancing and singing. Old blockbusters have gained a more modern club tone, interwoven with classical pianist's performance. Script: Malgorzata Szyszka PROJECT 2: SPACES We talked to the normal people, Warsaw inhabitants, who are walking every day on the streets of Warsaw.
