
Hardcore Workshop Exchange

Hardcore Workshop Exchange is a comprehensive collaboration project between the Western Balkans and the Nordic region. The idea of the project was to strengthen relations between artists from the two regions and to develop cross-border artistic collaboration within the Balkan and Nordic countries. The aim of this project was to enrich the artistic environments of both regions.
Artistically, the project focuses on contemporary dance in the two regions, and is designed to function as an exchange of ideas, expertise and artistic styles between choreographers and dancers from the Western Balkans and the Nordic region. The following countries were represented in the project: From the Balkans: Serbia, Croatia and Macedonia, and from the Nordic region: Norway, Sweden and Finland. The initiative of HWE is split into two phases, of which the first phase - in November 2004 - took place in Belgrade, Zagreb and Skopje, while the second phase - in November 2005 - took place in Bergen, Malmø and Helsinki. Artists from all six collaborating countries were participating in both phases.
The Macedonian team was consisted of four young artists, representative of the contemporary dance/body movement scene: Olga Boev, Sasa Eftimova, Elena Jovanova and Igor Stojcevsk i. They were working on their choreography with Lisa Torun from Sweden. Choreographer representative of Macedonia was Iskra Sukarova and she was working with local artists from Dansstationen. In connection with the workshops, a previous choreographic work of Miss Sukarova was presented as well. PAC Multimedia, as a partner of the project, has selected her latest piece "Ouch Couch ", made on the music of Darija Andovska and performed by Iskra Sukarova and Danilo Mandic . Also, the solo piece of Sasa Eftimova "Shengen" was presented on the final open presentation that happen in front of all the partners in Teater Terrier. The Macedonian team was selected and accompanied by Violeta Simjanovska , executive director of PAC MULTIMEDIA
